Antique Digest Special Sections
Get
extra mileage from your advertising dollars with a Special Section in M.A.D. A
dedicated pull-out section is especially useful to show promoters but can also
be useful for auctioneers, group shops, or private dealers. These special sections
are handy for readers to take with them to an event or keep for reference. They
typically contain ads and promotional material for a particular event or purpose. Some
examples of special sections have included the Special Section
FormatSpecial sections are available in four-page increments and
are printed in either full color or black-and-white and in the same size and format
as the rest of the paper. The cover can be oriented vertically (full page) or
horizontally (half page). A banner, created by M.A.D., is placed on all
advertising pages to give the section a consistent look. Ads are sized slightly
shorter than in the rest of the paper to accommodate the banner. See size charts
below. For advertisers participating
in a special section- M.A.D. gives a 15% discount off
regular ad prices to all advertisers who participate.
- Each advertiser
receives a complimentary copy of the paper.
For
a special section sponsored by a show promoter covering a single event - You
may send us publicity information and photos to be used as filler throughout the
section.
- The promoter supplies all exhibitor names, addresses, and e-mail
addresses to M.A.D. (We do not share these names outside our office.)
We then send a letter to your exhibitors along with the size chart and cost for
either color or black-and-white (promoters choice). A reminder e-mail is
sent 7-10 days before the advertising deadline.
- Papers can be provided
to hand out as free samples at your show. (We need the UPS address and the earliest
date the papers can be delivered.)
- The show is listed in M.A.D.s
print and on-line calendar, and the show and each advertiser are listed in the
issues index of advertisers.
For
ad designers- Refer to charts below for special section ad sizes.
These differ from the dimensions for ads that run in the regular paper.
- All
grayscale and color images must be scanned at 300 dpi. Line art must be at 1200
dpi. All images should be sized to within 10% of the final size used in the layout.
- All
color images must be in CMYK (NOT RGB) color mode.
- Convert
the finished layout to press-optimized pdf format, version 1.3 (PDF/x-1a)
compatible. Make sure to include all fonts when converting to pdf.
