Our fall Maritime Auction is dedicated to our dear friend Paul DeCoste, who was a fixture at our auctions until his passing in August. As his beloved wife, Linda, expressed so eloquently, “He had a particular devotion to antiques, maritime antiques in particular, and had a willingness to share his broad knowledge with all.” For me personally, it had been a pleasure to do business with Paul for the past 40 years, he not only cherished fine objects, he could find the ones with soul. Paul’s absence will be felt by our entire antiques and nautical antiques community.
