When Rolls-Royce commissioned Charles Sykes to create the mascot that would adorn the hoods of their cars, his direction was to capture “the spirit of the Rolls-Royce, namely, speed with silence, absence of vibration, the mysterious harnessing of great energy and a beautiful living organism of superb grace.” Today, the “Spirit of Ecstasy” is synonymous with style and luxury. This unique silvered and gilded cast bronze dealership sculpture, along with hundreds of other rare and collectible pieces, will be featured in our upcoming June Fine Estates & Collections auction.
