Thomas Doyle, a.k.a. “AJ” or “Austin Doyle,” pled guilty on June 26 to wire fraud in connection with a scheme to defraud the owner of Mother and Child on a Hammock by French artist Gustave Courbet (1819-1877). Doyle was previously convicted in 2011 of a separate art-related fraud.
